The Gimbel UltraStealth™ is a hybrid engineering design based upon the surgical philosophy of a simple, ultra-precise means of crafting a consistent parallel based wound incision architecture.
Many diamonds have been manufactured with parallel sided sharp edges, known as Phacoquads or Quadrangles. These diamonds do allow for wound enlargement, but due to the nature of manufacturing, the side edges are difficult to maintain precise tolerances and are often larger or smaller in actual dimensions (up to 100 microns either way) than the sales material may indicate. Furthermore, if the diamonds ever need to be rehoned, a normal component of diamond scalpel clinical application, they are always going to be smaller after repolishing, introducing a significant variable.
