At Mastel Precision, we pay attention to what is important. Quick turnaround time is then rule and not the exception. Normally, if we know a short surgical time frame exists, we can work with you and your staff to accommodate expedited repair. This applies to all diamond scalpels, whether made by us or even competitor’s instruments. Of course, we specialize in diamond repairs and upgrades as well as trade-in programs on virtually all instruments. Since diamonds oftentimes live far longer lives than may be useful, it may be that you have real value in old, possibly obsolete diamond tools and a strong possibility exists that upon examination we could provide intelligent options based upon your practice application needs.
Our metal finishing is second to none, with submicron metallurgical processing standard on all critical surfaces and in particular, on all of our phaco and I/A tips or other instruments that work in the intraocular environment. Also, all of our footplates that run on the epithelium during astigmatic keratotomy undergo the same detailed metal finishing to minimize epithelial drag and can therefore lead to improved surgical control.
Our senior craftsman have significant experience and it shows in their pride of workmanship and attention to detail. Over three decades they have repaired more than 20,000 diamond scalpels and our customers trust them implicitly because they know the job will be done right, the first time, every time. It is common for our clients to call us after receiving an instrument from repair and comment that it was better than new.
